I was born and raised in South Glastonbury, Connecticut before moving to the Charlottesville, Virginia area. I am a graduate of NC State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Landscape Design concentration as well as a minor in Psychology. My interests in the field pertain heavily to how natural spaces can influence and improve human mental and physical health.
My favorite authors are: Sylvia Plath, Mary Oliver, Anne Sexton, Pablo Neruda, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Janice Mirikitani, and Gabriel Garcia Marquez. I love poetry just as much as I love a dark, gripping narrative, and I have a particular soft spot for magical realism. When I’m not writing, I’m gardening, cooking, tending to my lovely egg-laying hens, and dealing with the daily misadventures of my two cats, Gus and Simba.
